Some spaces are too small for Christmas trees and large holiday decorations. Try hanging glass ornaments from a ceiling fixture or in glass jars to bring the holiday spirit into your home, without taking up the entire space. These decorating ideas are unique and will have you feeling merry all season long. Take a look at the pictures below for some inspiration on how to display your favorite ornaments sans the large tree :) If you are fortunate enough to have the space for a tree, try hanging ornaments in other rooms to continue the Christmas cheer throughout your home!
Instead of recycling your old tissue boxes, why not turn them into an adorable holiday decoration?! Simply cover the outside of a tissue box with festive paper, tinsel or even the candies of your choice. Tie a colorful bow around the outside and you'll have a perfect present! Make multiple tissue box presents and pair them together... this will allow you to play with various fabrics, textures and holiday colors!
“It’s much more inspiring not to go to places than to go.” - Karl Lagerfeld
Today, Karl Lagerfeld presented Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection at the Grand Palais. The collection’s theme, “Paris-Bombay,” paid homage to India and was a reminder that the fashion industry relies on India for their beautifully detailed, handmade pieces. What’s special about this collection is that all of the pieces that were intricately made in Indian fashion were actually produced by the Parisian atelier. The cities of Paris and Bombay fused together perfectly with draped silk, paisley patterns, beading and pearly tweeds. As usual, Karl took us into a dream world with his collection. He is a true visionary!

Oscar de la Renta debuted his Pre-Fall 2012 collection today on Park Avenue. The ball skirts, lace and embellishments allowed this collection to shine without being overdone. Some items that stood out: the dresses made of crinkled silk, a fur vest clinched by a dragonfly brooch, a wine colored leather skirt, sparkling boleros and wide leg trousers. The ladylike charm in each piece is a reminder of why we all adore Oscar! Take a look at some of my favorite looks below.
