Welcoming 2012!

It's hard to believe that today is the last day of 2011. A lot has happened this year...I graduated from college, started my first job, moved in with my boyfriend of nearly 3 years and started this blog! It was an exciting year, but I am willing to bet that 2012 is going to be even better! I can't wait to see what's in store. Cheers to 2012! I hope you ring in the new year in sparkling style with those you love most.

Christmas in the Caribbean

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas. This year, I am spending the holidays with my family in beautiful St. Kitts. We arrived yesterday and we are already enjoying the sunshine, and laid back atmosphere of the islands. I do admit, I miss the snow and being with the rest of our relatives, but this trip is already becoming a memorable one :) I may be away from blogging this week, but I can't wait to catch up when I return! Happy Holidays!

Blushing Over NARS

Don’t you just love blush? Two easy swipes and your face has a beautiful glow. NARS’ latest shade, G-Spot, is a rich, gold-infused rose that is flattering on all skin tones. G-Spot is deeper and sexier than their famous, Orgasm Blush. It’s the perfect shade for fall and winter. G-Spot has been NARS bestseller this holiday season. The new blush also makes a great stocking stuffer!

Back to Black

With holiday party season in full swing, you have to have a handful of dresses that you can quickly throw on and instantly feel glamorous. One of the easiest, and chicest looks is wearing head to toe black. The classic shade is slimming and always stylish. Here are three dresses that I'm absolutely obsessed with- perfect for a holiday party or other special occasions through out the year!

1. Rebecca Taylor Lace Combo Dress
2. Alice and Olivia One Shoulder Rouched Dress
3. Parker Open Back Dress

Black shoes and accessories will match perfectly with an all-black ensemble and can also be mixed with colorful pieces in your wardrobe.

2. ASOS Tino Suede Boot
3. Elizabeth and James Selby Toe Pumps
4. Kate Spade Glossy Garden Long Necklace

A black clutch or shoulder bag is essential for wardrobe. Here are three styles I am currently coveting. I'm especially loving the gold accents!

3. Kate Spade Fanfare Missy

A Green and White Christmas

DVF Pre-Fall 2012: Macadam Diva

Diane von Furstenberg named her pre-fall 2012 collection “Macadam Diva.” Macadam, the French word for asphalt, suits the collection perfectly as it had a harder look with studs, chains, and zippers. Diane’s signature prints were also paired with the edgier elements.

Trend to Try: Maxi Skirts

Maxi skirts are a trend I've been admiring lately, but have hesitant to try. The pictures below have inspired me to purchase a maxi and incorporate it into my wardrobe for the new year! What trends are you looking to try in 2012?

How chic is Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere?

I love this neutral look!

Gorgeous print!

Love this shade of pink and bow detail.

Chambray shirt, gray skirt and statement necklace = perfection.

Sometimes simple is best!
