Minimalist-Chic Apartment

{Images Via}

How gorgeous is Athena Calderone’s Brooklyn apartment? I love the minimalist-chic style the interior designer conveyed through out the space. Not to mention the amazing light fixtures and works of art adorning the walls (plus have you seen her closet?!)

Be sure to check out Athena’s blog as well- you’ll be swooning!

Carried Away with Holiday Stationary

My project this week is to find the perfect holiday stationary. I'm always cutting it close to Christmas before getting my cards in the mail, so this year I'm determined to get this done early! During my search, I found several fantastic options at Paper SourceRifle Paper Co, and Mr. Boddington's Studio. Here are 8 festive cards to spread some cheer this time of year!

Paper Fashion: Tulle and Sequins

I have been a long time fan of Katie Rogers and her beautiful illustrations at Paperfashion. When I saw this post inspired by a dress at Dior, I was amazed by the contrast and playfulness of the tulle overlay with the sketch. Like Katie says in her post, sometimes you just need that new spark in your work! The result is usually quite inspiring.

(How cute is the sequin edging on the skirt?)

This & That: Chevron and Happy Hues

I love this gorgeous bedroom from Furbish Design Studio. The mixing of polka dots, chevron and happy blooms is so cheery. Blair, of Atlantic-Pacific blog achieves a similar aesthetic with this navy chevron top, pink hued pant and tons of accessories!

This & That: Watercolors

This beautiful hallway with watercolor-inspired wallpaper was recently featured in Lonny Magazine. I've become completely smitten with the look of this soft, dreamy pattern! What a brilliant way to dress up a hallway that may not receive as much attention as the other spaces in your home. With a few weeks left of the summer, it's also the perfect time to don a dress with a happy print, like this one by ECI New York.

Rounding Out Your Fall Wardrobe

What better way to add some pattern to your fall wardrobe than with polka dots? The fun and flirty print will add personality to any ensemble. I love the navy and white and black and white prints- so classic and stylish! Polka dots were all over the fall J.Crew catalog. I included some of these beautiful images below as well as some other great polka dotted pieces!

Trend to Try: Patterned Denim

Lately, I've been lusting over printed denim. I think it's a perfect way to transition from summer to fall with a splash of color. Which pattern would you choose?

I was thrilled that Elle Decor did a feature on Reese Witherspoon's California home. It is a beautiful space designed by Kristen Buckingham. I love the combination of vintage and modern pieces. It's no surprise that Reese has a chic and stylish home. Enjoy!
