Diane von Furstenberg named her pre-fall 2012 collection “Macadam Diva.” Macadam, the French word for asphalt, suits the collection perfectly as it had a harder look with studs, chains, and zippers. Diane’s signature prints were also paired with the edgier elements.
Zac Posen's Pre-Fall 2012 collection was one to remember. With bold shoulder details, nipped waists and stunning ball gowns, Posen created unique European silhouettes made out of Eastern fabrics. Surely, we can all appreciate his talents as a premier dressmaker. Bravo!
Thakoon used a warm, pastel palette in his pre-fall collection, which he described as “classic, early fall.” The collection was filled with his signature dresses, cable knits, blazers and loafers. The khaki, creams and grays mixed together beautifully for Thakoon’s elegant, pre-fall collection. It’s only December now, but this collection makes me crave early September school days. Take a peek at some of favorite looks below!
Below are some of my favorite looks from Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall Collection. The collection was luxurious and regal- each piece seemed to have undergone the “royal treatment.” The clothes were hand embroidered, detailed with sequins and constructed in interesting shapes. I loved the houndstooth dresses, the blue gown with sequin collar, the beaded camel cape and the sporty sweaters. A job well done, Mr. Wu!
Burberry's Pre-Fall 2012 collection that debuted today was absolutely stunning! Though the collection had a 1930's feel, the pieces were also youthful and contemporary. The silhouettes, muted colors, and details blended together beautifully. Here are some of my favorite lookbook images below.
