The Perfect Candle.

I recently purchased this Capri Blue Mercury Glass Jar Candle from Anthropologie. I needed a little gift to myself :) This candle perfectly captures the beauty of a flickering flame in its speckled glass jar. The scent is also stunning and lingers through out the house for hours. It contains hints of tropical fruits, lemons and limes and lightly exotic mountain greens. A candle as perfect as this makes a wonderful gift and also serves as a reminder to enjoy your relaxing evenings at home sitting in candlelight.

Beach Bound.

This week I'm looking forward to embarking on a Caribbean cruise. It will be a lovely break from life that seems all too stressful lately. Though the weather has been surprisingly beautiful this March, I can't wait to walk the beach, sip mojitos and soak up the Caribbean sunshine. (Not to mention break out some of my spring fashion finds!) As I like to say, you're never too old for Spring Break. Five more days! What's motivating you this monday?

Diane von Furstenberg has teamed up with Gap Kids to create an adorable clothing line for girls. The collection will be available online and in stores on Thursday, March 15th. Everything is priced from $20 to $120. The collection even features DVF’s iconic wrap dress (in a kid friendly silhouette of course) and tons of prints. I’ve always loved make-up, yet I’ve just never mastered the art of applying it.
Today, NARS cosmetics posted 3 tutorial videos instructing shoppers how to get a chic and sophisticated eye, a luminous cheek, and a bright and bold lip. Perfect for those of us who love beauty, but need a few helpful hints to recreate the make-up trends ourselves. You can also purchase the products used in each of the videos. Beautiful!

A Lush Life

This weekend, I visited the store Lush for the first time. The company, which sells fresh, handmade cosmetics for the face, hair and body, gives shoppers a unique and memorable shopping experience. The cheery employees give complimentary hand treatments, allow you to test all of the products and even give demos on how each of the products work (including the fun, fizzing bath bombs!).

I went gaga in this store…everything is fresh and made from the finest, organic ingredients. Plus nothing is tested on animals! I love this company’s values, it’s emphasis on quality ingredients and also its fun packaging (that they use without waste!).

I picked up the Love Lettuce face mask, an exfoliating mask that removes dirt, oil and debris and washes it all away. Exfoliation is a key part of every skin regimen, as it removes dead skin that clogs pores and causes imbalances. As Lush promised, this mask made me feel brand new, and glowing from the inside out.
