“It’s much more inspiring not to go to places than to go.” - Karl Lagerfeld
Today, Karl Lagerfeld presented Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection at the Grand Palais. The collection’s theme, “Paris-Bombay,” paid homage to India and was a reminder that the fashion industry relies on India for their beautifully detailed, handmade pieces. What’s special about this collection is that all of the pieces that were intricately made in Indian fashion were actually produced by the Parisian atelier. The cities of Paris and Bombay fused together perfectly with draped silk, paisley patterns, beading and pearly tweeds. As usual, Karl took us into a dream world with his collection. He is a true visionary!
